Art is a trail that the artist leaves behind like the trail of a shooting star or footprints in the sand petrified by time and discovered by those who pay attention. I usually leave my tracks in paint. It is the most ancient and direct way of expressing the human experience.
I try to define my surroundings with imagery and materials that will create a lasting impact on people. I try to avoid messages and allegory. I want my work to be experimental, immediate and lingering in its visual effect.
My artistic goals may be successful when I complete a work or they may dry up and lose significance with time like the abandoned skin of a snake but my intentions are deliberate and my efforts to make meaningful art is sincere.
