John Rathbun
John Rathbun is a longtime resident of Leverett. A builder in the area for over 30 years, John built his house on Dudleyville Road in 1985. Long before he became a builder, John was a metal worker and sculptor. In the late 60s, he sold his work in Coolidge Corner and a juried show in the Prudential Building. He continues to sculpt in his spare time, turning metal scrap into works of art. John comes from a long line of artists. His brother Bill is a renowned painter, as was their father, Bill Sr., while their brother Chris is a classical musician. John considers his houses to be works of art, and anyone who's seen his work would agree.
